Unable to access ECP. -  "500 unexpected error"

Our Exchange 2013 enviorment consist of 3 CAS servers and 3 MBX servers, recenty after configuring NLB for a CAS Array i cant login to the EAC. It keeps failing and says "500 Unexpected Error"

I have tried to rebuild die ECP virtual directory but it still fails.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

The 500 error represents something wrong with the web site server. Thus, you can refer to the following resolutions:

1.Changed bindings of the default website to conform to Microsoft recommended settings:
({http port 80 *}{http port 80 127.0.0.1}{https port 443 *}{https port 443 127.0.0.1})
http://blogs.technet.com/b/chrad/archive/2010/01/24/understanding-iis-bindings-websites-virtual-directories-and-lastly-application-pools.aspx
2.Insure that "Require SSL" is checked on the root of the default website.
3.Remove all of those "HTTP Redirect" settings and have a try.

If you have any question, please feel free to let me know.
Thanks,
Angela Shi

Hi,

Thanks for your answer.

1. The port bindings are correct to the ones you posted.

2. SSL is checked on the root of default websites.

3. there are no HTTP Redirect settings.

I still cannot log on into EAC.

Problem fixed.

lodctr /r and iis reset as administrator in cmd on all exchange servers in the environment did the trick!
